Electra at the Book Fair in Lisbon 2024

Electra magazine returns to Parque Eduardo VII, in Lisbon, for the Lisbon Book Fair, which runs from 29 May to 16 June 2024.

All 24 issues of the magazine, in both Portuguese and English versions, can be purchased at various discounts on the EDP Foundation/Electra stand (F04). At this stand, you will also find maat catalogues celebrating artists such as Luisa Cunha, Vhils, Vasco Araújo, Gabriel Abrantes, Nicolas Floc'h and Jonathas de Andrade, among others.

As part of its participation in the Lisbon Book Fair, Electra will also organize a talk around the central theme of Electra’s latest issue: Excess. The event will take place on 7 June at 7pm in Praça Azul [Blue Square], with the presence of the writers Gonçalo M. Tavares and Joana Bértholo, magazine’s director, José Manuel dos Santos, and its editor, António Guerreiro.

Electra will be present at the ARCOlisboa 2024 Contemporary Art Fair, which takes place between 23 and 26 May at the Cordoaria Nacional.

Around the central theme of issue 23 of Electra magazine, "Attention", the Arpad Szenes - Vieira da Silva Foundation (FASVS) is organising a talk in its auditorium next Thursday, 4 April, at 6pm.

Moroccan writer Abdellah Taïa, interviewed in Electra 8, presents his book Celui qui est digne d’être aimé [He Who Is Worthy of Love], at the Institut Français of Portugal.
