The new edition of Electra will be presented on 3 November 2023 at 9:30pm in the cloisters of Espaço Vita, in Braga, as part of the Utopia Literary Festival.
The relationship between the lives and works of writers, artists and public figures has always been a subject of significant controversy. Taking as starting point the presentation of the new issue of Electra magazine, which delves into this topic, José Manuel dos Santos (director of Electra), Maria Antónia Oliveira (writer and biographer) and João Pedro George (sociologist, literary critic and biographer) will engage in a discussion on the subjects of the death and resurrection of the author, the morality of the work and the morality of life, biographical material and the universe of the media.
The first edition of the Utopia Literary Festival will take place between 2 and 12 November. Its programme comprises talks, performances, workshops, school sessions, interviews, exhibitions, and literary tours, held at various locations across the city of Braga.
Electra can be purchased at the Centésima Página bookstore stand, which is participating in the book fair located in the cloisters of Espaço Vita.
