Electra magazine will be present at the 81st Madrid Book Fair, to be held at Retiro Park from 27 May to 12 June.
Without COVID-19 restrictions this year, the fair recovers its usual 1.3 kilometres of length, making it the largest of the 21st century with 378 stands and 400 exhibitors.
In an initiative organised by the Portuguese Embassy in Madrid, the Camões Institute and Turismo de Portugal, a literary programme will be presented at the fair with special emphasis on the centenary of José Saramago. The programme will feature Portuguese, Spanish and Iberian-American authors and journalists over 18 sessions. Portugal is also represented at the fair by a stand of the Independent Bookstores Network RELI / Livraria Snob, where editions of Portuguese and Portuguese-speaking authors can be found alongside recent issues of Electra magazine.
