Electra is a partner and curator, through its editor António Guerreiro, of the Nuit des Idées (Night of Ideas), an initiative of the Institut Français du Portugal that will this year explore the word "More", a word used every day but which opens up various fields of contemporary thought.
A series of round tables, performances, projections, concerts and readings will be organised around four themes: gender, acceleration, the metamorphoses of the city, and the challenges of the landscape. Participants include Cláudia Varejão, Sinziana Ravin, P. Feijó, Laurent de Sutter, Jêrome Lèbre, Carla Baptista, Jean-Christophe Cavallin, Rui Manuel Amaral, Christophe Fiat, Regina Guimarães, Ana Deus, Pedro Jacobi, Ruedi Baur, Viriato Soromenho-Marques, and Ana Paula Guimarães.
Nuit des Idées 2023 takes place in three cities on three nights: in Lisbon on 17 September at Culturgest, in partnership with BoCA – Biennial of Contemporary Arts; in Porto on 23 September in the Courtyard of the Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Porto; and in Sabóia on 30 September as part of the Águas Gémeas colloquium and in partnership with the Lavrar-o-Mar collective.
All Nuit des Idées activities are free, subject to the availability of space.
