French author Yves Citton will be in Lisbon to participate in the conference ‘Coincidences: Attentional Moves’ taking place at Culturgest (Fundação Caixa Geral de Depósitos) on 28 May at 7pm.
Yves Citton is a Professor of Literature and Media at the University of Paris, co-editor of the journal Multitudes and former host of the monthly radio show Zazirocratie, broadcast from Grenoble. He has published more than a dozen books, and in 2024 he co-edited Politics of Curiosity. Alternatives to the Attention Economy.
A frequent contributor to Electra, Citton has written articles for the magazine’s Dossier section on topics including journalism and media, money, speed, the state of democracy and, more recently, attention.
The event at Culturgest is part of the International Conference Cadences: Attentional Moves in the Arts and Everyday Life, which is taking place on 28, 29 and 30 May, hosted by the Communication Institute of NOVA University Lisbon

A talk will be held in the auditorium of the Arpad Szenes – Vieira da Silva Foundation on Wednesday, 24 September, 6pm, around the central theme of Electra magazine’s issue #29, ‘The Body’.
Daniel Blaufuks, author of the ‘Book of Hours’ in Electra #29, presents the project Japanese Journals at the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
Electra takes part in the Porto Book Fair, which runs from August 22 to September 7.
Organised by Institut Français du Portugal, this year will explore the theme Power to Act – In search of a new horizon of universality. The event will take place on 25 June, from 6 pm to midnight, at Teatro São Luiz, in Lisbon
