Electra at the Night of Ideas 2025

Organised by Institut Français du Portugal, this year will explore the theme Power to Act – In search of a new horizon of universality. The event will take place on 25 June, from 6 pm to midnight, at Teatro São Luiz, in Lisbon

Electra is a partner and will participate, through its editor António Guerreiro, in the sixth edition of Night of Ideas, the annual event organised by Institut Français du Portugal, which this year will explore the theme Power to Act – In search of a new horizon of universality.

The event will take place on 25 June, from 6 pm to midnight, at Teatro São Luiz, in Lisbon, with the participation of authors, poets, dancers, scientists, journalists, musicians, illustrators and philosophers.

Some issues of Electra magazine with dossiers on topics such as The State of Democracy, Excess, o Narcisism ou Identity(ies)(s), will be available at Livraria da Noite (Foyer and First Floor), from 7 pm to 12.30 pm.

Free event, subject to room capacity. Tickets for free admission will be available on the same day at the Theatre's ticket office.

Electra celebrates a partnership with Estado da Arte, the cultural magazine of the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo.

A talk will be held in the auditorium of the Arpad Szenes – Vieira da Silva Foundation on Wednesday, 24 September, 6pm, around the central theme of Electra magazine’s issue #29, ‘The Body’.

Daniel Blaufuks, author of the ‘Book of Hours’ in Electra #29, presents the project Japanese Journals at the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.

Electra takes part in the Porto Book Fair, which runs from August 22 to September 7.
